All Cruiselexed Out

According to Heather Clark’s Associated Press article "Linguists Vote ‘Truthiness’ Word of 2005," the American Dialect Society has coined the term "Cruiselex" to describe expressions such as "jump the couch" and "Cruisazy." The group’s inspiration - you guessed it - was actor Tom Cruise. "I don’t know any other public figure who has inspired so many words in a single year," says Erin McKean, editor of the New Oxford American Dictionary.
