Emma Thompson and New Anne Frank Website Tool
by Andre Soares
Via the National Grid for Learning: British actress Emma Thompson (Howard’s End, Nanny McPhee) "has inaugurated a new internet tool created by the Amsterdam-based Anne Frank foundation to foster exchanges between schoolchildren and fight racism.
"The site features the leaves of a virtual chestnut tree, and is named after the chestnut tree which was one of the few symbols of the outside world that the young Anne Frank could see from her hiding place in the Nazi-occupied Netherlands from 1942-1944."
