Errol Flynn Signature Collection

Errol Flynn was one of the most handsome and most dashing leading men in motion picture history. Although Flynn rarely gave what could be considered a "good" performance (his excellent turn in The Sun Also Rises is a notable exception), he was almost invariably so likable and so great to look at that lack of acting ability was a minor inconvenience.
Warner Home Video is releasing a package of five Flynn vehicles on DVD, The Errol Flynn Signature Collection: Captain Blood, The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex, Dodge City, The Sea Hawk and They Died with Their Boots On. Though not necessarily great films, they are all worth watching because of their excellent production values (note: both The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex and Dodge City are in color), and because they boast a gallery of Warner Bros. notables, including Bette Davis, Claude Rains, Ann Sheridan, and Flynn’s frequent co-star Olivia
de Havilland.
The Errol Flynn set also includes a feature documentary, The Adventures of Errol Flynn (2005).
