Gilda (1946) directed by Charles Vidor, starring Rita Hayworth, Glenn Ford, George MacreadyBrief Obit: Actor Glenn Ford, the star of dozens of major motion pictures from the 1940s to the 1960s, died today, Aug. 30, at his home in Los Angeles. He was 90.

Ford had been seriously debilitated by a series of strokes he suffered in the 1990s.

Among Ford’s film credits are classics such as Gilda (1946), in which he co-starred with Rita Hayworth; Fritz Lang’s tough thriller The Big Heat (1953); and Delmer Daves‘ poetic Western 3:10 to Yuma (1957).
