Twilight fans have been inundating with e-mails potential Welcome to the Rileys buyers, begging them to get the rights to the Kristen Stewart (above) vehicle in which the Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon star plays a pole dancer/sex worker. Directed by Jake Scott and written by Ken Hixon, the drama also stars The Sopranos' James Gandolfini as the young woman's savior.
"PLEASE!! you are all amazing," reads a Welcome2Rileys tweet sent a few hours ago, "but please stop emailing the distributors. we got the message loud and clear. please please stop[.]"
That was followed by "they can't answer our emails because they r trying to get through all of your emails. I love you all. please stop the attack[.]"
And then: "you guys are animals!!!!!! those poor people!!! I know what they are going through when you all started emailing me… powerful[.]"
The e-mail addresses for The Weinstein Co. and Sony Pictures Classics representatives were made available at the Welcome to the Rileys IMDb forum.
Kristen Stewart has received good notices for her performance in Welcome to the Rileys, and for her portrayal of '70s rocker Joan Jett in Floria Sigismondi's The Runaways, co-starring Dakota Fanning, which was also screened at Sundance. The Runaways will open on March 19, a little over two weeks after Robert Pattinson's solo starring vehicle Remember Me.

Newest issue of Elle Korea Kristen Stewart Special now available
@Lisa 3 that is your opinion which you are entitled to of course. It's not healthy to hold hate against someone, maybe just try not searching the net or watching Kristens movies that might help!?
There are so many people altering the truth that its not funny! Most of the e-mails came from 17 and below. You can tell by the literacy level of the e-mails. (Yes I've seen them.)
I can honestly say I saw this movie at Sundance and Kristen honestly ruined a movie that had an excellent chance.
I can also tell you that I despise Kristen Stewart because of her actions, but her fans and Twi zombies that follow her have made me detest her.I blame the adult fans as much if not more than the younger ones. On other boards for The Runaways her fans did an entire bully and threaten marathon to make people see her movie. This is now a sick obsession which is not helping her get a bigger fanbase and definitely not a saner one.
To the comment regarding TYK getting sold without any help. We read it, it's alright. It will be released and not do well. We are not stupid. We read WTTR and fell in love with the script.
It deserves all of the attention it can get.
@Beck
Had some problems with the internet. Someone else said it. The second one is directed to you.
@Pardy
Nobody has a problem that she did Twilight. They are just speaking about her acting abilities.
>kristen hasn’t done enough films to be judged on her acting<
You said that she's a good actor and that isn't judging someone?
Well,i think that kristen stewart is a great actor and that Beck is right. All those people who don't like twilight fine we all have our own opinon, but that doesn't mean you should put bad comments by her name, kristen hasn't done enough films to be judged on her acting. Does it?
@Odd Man Out – I totally agree with you there, Natalie Portman, Dakota Fanning, Jodie Foster and so many more child actors have achieved some superb performances. I just feel that Kristen gets slated because of Twilight.
@Boss – I don't see your point exactly please elaborate? also you misquoted me as I didn't say about Meryl being shy etc..
lets keep this to a good healthy debate and not a hatefest :o)
Everyone…
**Please**
Keep comments on Kristen Stewart, the e-mail campaign, "Welcome to the Rileys," "The Runaways," etc.
It's okay to disagree with one another, of course.
But **please** do so courteously.
@ELI COHEN
Maybe you should've saved the money you spent on acting school and put it towards perfecting your writing and English skills.
Man you are just jelous(jealous). Where (have) those years of sutding (studying) acting took (taken) YOU? I am with my teen in New York in an acting school and Kristen’s name is highly regarded there. Merilyn (Meryl) S. just mimics Julia Child. She did not create her character. Stand up comedians can do it better. Even my husband. Kristen Stewart is nominated for rising star award in the UK. orange.co.uk/bafta
Check out for yourself.
Wow. I didn't realize my opinion would sprout such vapid remarks. I'm not even going to dignify those thoughtless, immature comments with a response. I appreciate those of you who kept it professional, and I do admit..comparing Kristen Stewart to Meryl Streep was an extreme. For that, I apologize.
Now that I have my head on straight, I will give you someone else…Natalie Portman. Both started as young stars. I'm sorry but Panic room will NEVER come close to The Professional.
Am I saying that Kristen is a terrible actress? No.
@odd man out

@Beck
>I’ve seen her in a few movies and she is totally different in everyone, Speak, AdventureLand, Into the Wild….. all so not “Bella”.<
In all three movies she was a troubled teen. In Welcome to the Rileys oh wonder she's a troubled teen.
@Beck
>I’ve seen her in a few movies and she is totally different in everyone, Speak, AdventureLand, Into the Wild….. all so not “Bella”. Meryl Streep is extremelly shy and also has difficults to express her fellings in a interview and no one think bad of her<
Aha. She's shy in her interview but not shy in her movies. What does it say? That she's a good actor. Let us compare it with Kristen. Nervous habits in interviews and the same habits in movies.
Odd Man Out – I know you are entitled to your opinion, but how can you compare Kristen to Meryl Streep who is undoubtably a Fantastic and Great Actor but seriously you don't think Kristen can compare to her expertise and maturity, everyone and I'm not talking about twi fans, tweens or twi-moms when I say this, I mean professionals to the business, Directors, Writers, Producers to list goes on has said of Kristen that she brings alive the character she is portraying, you only have to watch her interview to see how much she cherishes these characters and totally takes on the role. How can you say she can't act and plays "Bella" in every movie, I've seen her in a few movies and she is totally different in everyone, Speak, AdventureLand, Into the Wild….. all so not "Bella". For a 19 year old I who is still learning and growing I think she portrays her characters extremely well, and I would bet everything I own that one day she will be ranked up with the best of Oscar winners. Stage acting is totally different to screen acting and as your say you've been studying it for 20 years, well times change, people change, I'm not a teenager and I wouldn't want to be in this day and age. You had your say I had mine. On the story posted – I think its safe to say someone will buy this movie, the hype has been incredible and it would be stupid for them not to.
i believe youre not a good actress yourself, because if you are you would be busy with work than spending your time hating on kristen, who is popular and has a line of work ahead of her right now. professional critics and well known credible good actors says she's good, youre an unknown actress who says she's not, who would you think i would believe… ding ding ding.. that's right.
Listen to this audio, where Melissa Leo explain what is Method Acting giving as example a scene between she, Kristen Stewart and James Gandolfini in Welcome to the Rileys and you see what I am talking about and that you probably are wrong.

Odd Man Out,
Now for Mrs Stewart be a good actor or not, you can have your opinion but I agree with Sean Penn, Jodie Foster, Melissa Leo, Sandra Bullock, Kate Bosworth, Bruce Dern, Mary Stuart Masterson, David Fincher, the director of Speak, Forest Whitaker, Emile Hirsch, some others, that Kristen Stewart is an actor, a MOVIES ACTOR. She is good, she has something different, she is not there for the fame, she is there for the craft, like Jodie Foster was and certain Dakota Fanning and Abigail Breslin will be. They born this way.
It's unfair to compare Kristen at 19, with just 10 years of acting with Meryl Streep and Jodie Foster at this moment of their lives, at their ages. To be "a huge monster" like this ladies are, you have to live a life and grow your craft.
"She seems Jodie Foster at that age…" "Look up at this girl, she has future…"
Meryl Streep is extremelly shy and also has difficults to express her fellings in a interview and no one think bad of her and neither she was over exposed for the media in the way that Kristen has been. Kristen is very young and just need some time.
It is difficult that so many people in the bussiness are wrong….
I am sure that Miss Stewart will give us amazing performaces in the years to come.
ps: Sorry for my English but it is not my first language.
what's about kristen's style of acting got to do with us mature fans wanted to see her movies? if that's your opinion i respect it, but that doesn't stop me from admiring her talent, dedication and sincerity to her work. she's only 19 and as she progresses, i'm sure her art and technique of acting will be as much strikingly effective as ever 20 years from now.
Agree completely with Mae. What's worse is that people who are doing this are saying that they aren't teenagers. Do you not realize how immature that makes you look?
Too Odd Man someone disagrees with you –> Roger Ebert on Kristen Stewart "I'm discovering an important new actress.
The majority of Kristen fans are not teenagers not that there is anything wrong with that but the Twilight thing just skyrocked her career to new hights. If the campaign has a positive effect than that is wonderful.
Also, to Mae:
We would never have e-mailed the distributors if there wasn't a reason, and there was. We've been hearing from the producer that distributors are worried about the age-range of the fans, and that Kristen's fans would all be 13 year old Twi-hards. The entire purpose of our e-mailing the distributors was to tell them we are NOT under the age of 17, therefore we would be able to see the film without having to sneak in. We used information directly from the producer to help as we saw fit.
We'd already been asked to Tweet how old we were, but Twitter doesn't always get the job done. The reason we took it a step further and e-mailed distributors directly was to send a message across that we are a mature audience and would fit the age demographic they need for the film to be worth distributing.
I would also like to point out that we used information anybody could have found on the internet. Those e-mail addresses were not their personal e-mail accounts, they are work e-mail accounts that anybody can find online with a bit of looking.
The only thing that made this work is the power of numbers. There are a lot of people all over the world who want to see this film, and when we gather together, we can get a lot done.
Hmmm……..How old was Meryl when she did Devil Wears Prada and Julie and Julia?
Please, for the love of GOD, will you stop calling us all teenagers and Twilight-fans? Not all of us are, and none of the people I'm aware of who sent an e-mail are under the age of 17. That was the entire point of the campaign, to assure prospective distributors that we are not teenagers and we can get into an R rated film without having to sneak in.
To the professional stage actress, I have acting experience as well. Kristen's performances are real and honest, and she doesn't just act out a character, she becomes her. I've yet to see a film with her in it that hasn't moved me. Her film "Speak" is one of the most honest and heart-wrenching performances I've seen out of any actress. The understanding it took to take on that role, and at such a young and tender age…it's truly an incredible thing. Kristen has mannerisms that will come out in the characters she plays, but that doesn't make her repetitive or one-dimensional. It's everything else that she brings to the table and how she adapts those mannerisms to the character that work.
To Odd Man Out,
I just have one question. What other movies of Kristen have you seen to have this opinion about her acting ability/
By the way the great movie critic Roger Ebert just said this about Kristen Stewart.
@ebertchicago Saw "Welcome to the Rileys." Kristen Stewart is a fine actress. Saints preserve her from vampire movies.
"Kristen Stewart here is tougher even than her punk rocker in "The Runaways." Who knew she had these notes? I'm discovering an important new actress."
I can go on and add some more praises she has received from her co-workers and critics for this movie and all the other movies she has done so far.
@Odd Man Out
Some user said one time that we see in every movie of hers how Kristen would act if she's in the same situation. How she would act if her boyfriend is a vampire or how she would act if she becomes a prostitute/stripper.
Some fans of Kristen are really crazy. Even if they aren't over 17 and wouldn't get the option to watch it they still send emails to get a distributer for her movie. Fanatic! Even the Yellow Handkerchief was bought without any "help".
Okay, here's something of substance. I am a professional stage actress. I have studied the art and technique of acting for the last twenty years. Kristen Stewart is not a very good actress. She has no range when it comes to portraying different characters. I cannot honestly tell the difference between Bella, any of her other characters, and Kristen in person.
They are all the same person. Her sputtering and constant blinking are so repetetive that they've become her signature.
You want an example of an amzing actress with range, diversity, AND Talent..Meryl Streep. Watch THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and then watch JULIE&JULIA..she actually becomes her characters.
Sorry to all you fans, don't mean to say you're dumb or anything for liking her…it's just my opinion.
I am sick of the media assuming that all her fans are teenagers and only Twilight fans. I am not a teenager and I love her other movies. PLEASE WRITE SOMETHING WITH SUBSTANCE AND NOT BASED STUFF ON YOUR OWN PERSONAL ASSUMPTION.
Just one information is wrong…
Most of the fan that did this are adults, not teens, from all over the world.
Some of them already watched the movies in Sundance and want to watch this again. Some, like me, are fans of Kristen, before Twilight mania, and are from another countries.
Melissa Leo, Kristen Stewart and James Gandolfini are amazing actors and most of the projects that are involved are good. They are a reference for me.
I read an old script, I saw the trailer and it is amazing. The silence with a little notes of music, the good, solid text, Kristen saying everything with her face and body expression and James given his lines.
Yes! I want to watch it!
Although I didn’t participated of the movement and I don't approve this email's war but I am with them.
I am not a Twilight's fan but I love "cinema" and everything linked to it. I have 49 years old and I am from Brazil.
i want jast be fun clob
I think the fans who started todays emails went beyond what needed to be done, if a producer says we are working on it leave it be. You may have only succeded in making yourselves, the producers and the actress look foolish. It's only been for sale at SD for a week and it's known that there was interest in it. Why not let the current talks finish before sending countless emails to multiple companies? The producer actually had to stay stop that's silly, it was being worked on patience is needed.
we are not twi hard fans…just simply kristen fans.
>>KRISTEN FANS not twilight fans…not all kristen fans are twilight fans.
Point well taken.
I emailed for it, I don't like Twilight much, most of us have read the script and really want to see the film. No harm done, just some polite emails showing our support for the film.
KRISTEN FANS not twilight fans…not all kristen fans are twilight fans.
