An Academy Salute to Leslie Caron” was presented at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Friday, October 10, at 8 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. The event included a screening of a new restoration of the Academy Award-winning 1958 musical Gigi, in which Caron stars as a girl being schooled in the art of courtesanship.

    Why does Leonard Maltin get invited to all those parties?
    They should get Robert Osborne at least every once in a while.
    There are no other film historians in LA?
