Michael Mann and Leonardo DiCaprio to Join Forces on PUBLIC ENEMIES

Set during the crime-ridden Depression era, this film adaptation of Bryan Burrough’s bestseller will revolve around the transformation of the FBI from a fledgling government agency to the United States’ first federal police force.
According to Variety, it’s unclear which role Leonardo DiCaprio will play in the movie — or even on which side of the legal fence he’ll stand. The actor’s latest vehicle, the Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator, is slated for a December 2004 release.
