Robert Pattinson and his new vehicle Remember Me have been praised in The Hollywood Reporter. Following a mixed review for both Pattinson and Allen Coulter's drama in Variety, the Reporter's Kirk Honeycutt — giving some of the plot away — calls Remember Me "a smart, engaging drama about young love flourishing amid sadness and loss. The story ends on Sept. 11, 2001, in New York, which, depending on your point of view, further underscores the sense of loss implicit in the movie's title or is an unnecessary dramatic ploy to end the film with a devastating twist of fate that immediately connects with every audience member. But to return to the original point: Remember Me is a smart, engaging drama about a romance."
Honeycutt adds that distributor Summit Entertainment "can expect above-average boxoffice," for Remember Me "will find its legs with women young and old who will spark to a romance without the off-color humor and male boorishness that so often accompanies romantic fare these days." (But oh, c'mon! There are lots of guys who like their sweet romance, too.)
About the Robert Pattinson-Emilie de Ravin chemistry, Honeycutt says their scenes "exude genuine charm. One wants these two to get together. They are likable without being saccharine."
Remember Me was written by Will Fetters. Also in the cast: Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, and Lena Olin.

I finally saw Remember Me and all I can say is WOW! I laughed and I cried ALOT. Remember Me is an incrediable film about life, love and lose. Robert Pattinson is exceptional. I adore his scenes with Ruby Jerkins. Go see Remember Me its unforgettable and you won't regret it.
I went to see Remeber Me today and I had heard that there was this intense ending about a subject that is still tough for me, but I went to see it and I am so glad I did. It's a movie that takes you through so many emotions. It was funny, sad and sweet. I don't think the ending was in poor taste at all. It's not the core of the movie but merely a reminder to everyone that you should try to live each day as fully as you can, tell those in your life you love them and don't waste time being angry, because you never know what the next moment will hold.
Those of you that are timid about what you may have heard about the ending, please, don't let this stop you from going to see it. Yes, I cried during different places in the movie, but I laughed in others as well. I am glad I went to see this. It's a really good movie with great actors playing regular people with real-life challenges.
Don't shy away from it, go see it. I really believe you will be glad you did.
I like to form my own opinions. I'm looking forward to seeing Remember Me.
I haven't seen this film and I'm not one of the screaming, mental Pattinson fans, but to have the story end on Sept 11th feels a little contrived and sensationalist tbh, however, that said, never judge a flick by its cover
