I'm not sure I'd read it the same you did. Sure, the film does have a pro-armed forces bias, but I wouldn't necessarily say that it's "moral lesson" is that one shouldn't challenge military leaders. Perhaps it would be something along the lines of setting our differences aside in order to fight a common cause? You may be right and I may be wrong, but that's how I saw it.
