2007 American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Awards

There Will Be Blood - Paul Thomas Anderson
Roger Deakins became the first cinematographer to receive two ASC nominations in the same year for his film work. Deakins was nominated for No Country for Old Men and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and had been previously nominated five times and won twice (The Shawshank Redemption, The Man Who Wasn’t There). This is the fourth ASC nomination for Janusz Kaminski, the second for Robert Elswit (who won for There Will Be Blood, above), and the first for Seamus McGarvey.
