2006 Kerala Film Critics Association Awards

 

Ananthabhadram (2005), directed by Santosh Sivan, starring Manoj K. Jayan, Kavya Madhavan

Santosh Sivan’s Ananthabhadram was the big winner at the Kerala Film Critics Association 2005 Awards. Ananthabhadram, a supernatural thriller about a black magic sorcerer in search of a diamond with magical powers, won Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Manoj K. Jayan, who tied with Dileep in Chandupottu), and Best Actress (Kavya Madhavan, also for Sheelabathi) honors. The Kerala critics, headquartered in the southern Indian state of Kerala, recognize films in the local Malayalam language.

 

Best Film: Ananthabhadram

Best Director: Santosh Sivan, Ananthabhadram

Best Actor (tie): Manoj K. Jayan, Ananthabhadram and Dileep, Chandupottu

Runner up: Lal, Thommanum Makualam and Bunglavil Oudha

Best Actress: Kavya Madhavan, Ananthabhadram and Sheelabathi

Runner up: Shobha Mohan, Chandupottu

Best Screenplay: Aryadan Shaukat, Daivanamathil

Best Cinematography: Santhosh Sivan, Ananthabhadram

Best New Director: Jogh Esthapan

Best Male Playback Singer: M.G. Sreekumar, Bhaliyam and Mayookam

Best Female Playback Singer: Sujatha, Paranja Pheerath Vishesagal

Best Lyrics: M D Rajendran

Best Child Actor: Riya Jith

Most Popular Actor: Mohanlal, Naran and Thanmatra

Chalachithra Ratna Award: Thilakan, for his contributions to the Malayalam film industry

    any way in all functions & news everyone continuously forgettting the art direction department.

    These kind of supernatural movies wont work in Kerala.I believe only family movies will work in kerala
