London Film Critics’ Circle Awards - 2005 nominees

The London Film Critics’ Circle has announced the nominees for its 2005 film awards. The Constant Gardener, a tale of love, murder, and political corruption, and the revamped adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice led the pack with 7 nominations each. Both films were nominated for Best British Film of the Year, and The Constant Gardener also showed up in the Best Film category. Other nominees include Michael Haneke’s Caché / Hidden, in the Best Foreign-Language Film category, competing against Mar adentro / The Sea Inside, Der Untergang / Downfall, De battre mon coeur s’est arreté / The Beat That My Heart Skipped, and Les Choristes / The Chorus.Brokeback Mountain, Crash, A History of Violence, and King Kong were the other Best Film nominees.
