Oscar 2008 Ballots Due on February 19
February 15th, 2008 by Andre Soares
As per an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences press release, voting members must return their completed final Oscar ballots to PricewaterhouseCoopers by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19. Else, their ballots won’t be counted.
Final ballots were mailed to the 5,829 voting members of the Academy on Wednesday, January 30. How many actually bother to vote — and to vote in time — remains a mystery.
Once PricewaterhouseCoopers has tabulated the votes, the winners’ names will be placed in "sealed, foil-lined envelopes." Supposedly, only two PricewaterhouseCoopers employees will know the results until the envelopes are open at the 2008 Oscar ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, February 24, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.
