
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will screen the 2007 Academy Award-nominated films in the Animated and Live Action Short Film categories, on Tuesday, February 19, at 7 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. The program will feature onstage discussions with the nominated filmmakers (subject to availability).

- Meme les Pigeons Vont au Paradis (Even Pigeons Go to Heaven), Samuel Tourneux, director; Simon Vanesse, executive producer
- My Love (Moya Lyubov), Alexander Petrov, director
- Peter & the Wolf, Suzie Templeton, director; Hugh Welchman, producer

Live Action Short Film

- Il Supplente (The Substitute), Andrea Jublin, director
- Le Mozart des Pickpockets (The Mozart of Pickpockets, above), Philippe Pollet-Villard, director

Tickets are $5 for the general public and $3 for Academy members and students with a valid ID. Tickets may be purchased online at www.oscars.org, by mail, or at the Academy's box office during regular business hours beginning Friday, February 1, at 9 a.m.

The 2008 Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, February 24, 2008, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.
The Academy should have those screenings in San Francisco as well. There are lots of movie lovers in this town. They don't all live in Los Angeles.
