Oscar Correspondent Contest Winners 2009
Faheem Ahmed (left) and Anish Patel (to the best of my knowledge, no relation to Slumdog Millionaire’s Dev Patel) from Rice University have been selected as the first-ever Grand Prize winners of the "Oscar Correspondent Contest," a joint promotion by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network.
According to the Academy’s press release, Ahmed and Patel will have a spot on the red carpet for the 2009 Academy Awards arrivals tomorrow, Feb. 22, and will have access to the backstage press rooms and the Governors Ball.
Ahmed and Patel’s Oscar coverage will be posted on www.Oscars.mtvU.com the week of February 23.
