Shanghai Film Festival 2006 Winners

I’ve finally posted the list of winners at the 2006 edition of the Shanghai Film Festival, which was announced on June 25. Chris Kraus’s German drama Vier minuten / Four Minutes won the Best Film Award. The Jury Grand Prize went to Chinese filmmaker Qi Jian’s The Forest Ranger, while the Best Director Award was given to Fabienne Godet for the French psychological drama Sauf le respect que je vous dois / Burnt Out.
Best Actor was Sauf le respect que je vous dois star Olivier Gourmet, who plays a man whose life crumbles following a co-worker’s suicide. Best Actress honors went to Els Dottermans as a woman who loves her son too much in the Belgian drama Dennis van Rita / Love Belongs to Everyone.
