SYRIANA and CAPOTE Vying for USC Scripter Award

The Associated Press reports that Syriana (adapted by Stephen Gaghan from former CIA agent Robert Baer’s book See No Evil) and Capote (adapted by Dan Futterman from Gerald Clarke’s biography of Truman Capote) will face a run-off vote on Jan. 18 for the USC Scripter Award for best screenplay adaptation of a book or short story. The other finalists were Brokeback Mountain, The Constant Gardener, and A History of Violence. Via the San Jose Mercury News.
