Best Actor Paul Giamatti Sideways, Fox Searchlight
Best Actress Imelda Staunton Vera Drake, Fine Line Features
Best Supporting Actor Clive Owen Closer, Sony Pictures
Best Supporting Actress Virginia Madsen Sideways, Fox Searchlight
Best Screenplay Charlie Kaufman Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Best Non-Fiction Film The Fog of War
Best Animated Film The Triplets of Belleville
Best Canadian Film The Triplets of Belleville
Best First Film Maria Full of Grace HBO Films / Fine Line Features
Clyde Gilmour Award - Film professor and former Toronto International Film Festival programmer Kay Armatage, for her contribution to the appreciation and promotion of Canadian cinema.
Special Award Ryan, a short film produced by the National Film Board. This tribute to Oscar-nominated animator Ryan Larkin, was hailed as an historic achievement in Canadian animation.
