Winners of Spain’s Film Writers Circle 2005 Awards

Another list. . . I’ve finally added the list of winners and nominees of Spain’s Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos / Film Writers Circle 2005 Awards. Among them are Best Film winner La Vida secreta de las palabras / The Secret Life of Words, Isabel Coixet’s psychological drama that had also won Best Film honors at the Goya Awards. (Additionally, Coixet took home Film Writers medals for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.) Best Actor was Óscar Jaenada for Camarón, and Best Actresses - it was a tie - were Sarah Polley for La Vida secreta de las palabras, and Candela Peña for Princesas. Best Foreign Film was Clint Eastwood’s Academy Award-winning boxing melodrama Million Dollar Baby.
