This evening, Turner Classic Movies is showing several films with gay/bi/etc. characters as part of their Screened Out series. Two days ago, I was sent a link to the youtube video below. I'm posting it here as I found it both clever and perfectly appropriate to the occasion.
The video, created eight months ago by Robert Eldredge, was inspired by the finale of Giuseppe Tornatore's Academy Award-winning Cinema Paradiso, in which Jacques Perrin watched clips from scenes — kisses, hugs, embraces, nudity, sensuality, expressions of human desire — that had been cut from the films screened at his village's old movie house, courtesy of a Catholic priest-zealot with way too much time in his hands.
This particular montage, however, differs from Tornatore's in that all the kisses and hugs we see are between members of the same sex — something that, even without direct input from sex-obsessed religious figures, remains very much a taboo in most (if not all) mainstream movies in Hollywood, Bollywood, Pinewood, and elsewhere.
Ennio Morricone's sublime music, however, is still the same.
Curiously, Youtube requires that you log in to watch this video clip, as it's considered potentially inappropriate. (I'm not sure if they have the same policy when it comes to heterosexual kisses.)
The list of films shown in the cilp, as per the video creator are:

Someone should come up with a post-Brokeback montage. There have been so many gay films in the last few years.
Beautiful montage indeed! Thanks for posting it.
I'm fairly sure that number 25 is from Lilies ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116882/ ) ^_^
Beautiful montage!
