Gone with the Wind (1939) directed by Victor Fleming, starring Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Leslie Howard, Olivia de HavillandThe Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center of the University of Texas at Austin is currently holding an online exhibit of materials pertaining to the making of Gone with the Wind, the most financially successful motion picture ever made (in constant dollars) and the winner of ten Academy Awards (including best picture; best director, Victor Fleming; best actress, Vivien Leigh; and best supporting actress, Hattie McDaniel).

Articles include a letter producer David O. Selznick sent to powerful gossip columnist Louella Parsons, a chronology of the search for Scarlett O’Hara, and several Selznick memos.
