In Old Chicago (1937) directed by Henry King, starring Tyrone Power, Alice Faye, Don Ameche, Alice BradyAt his informative Alice Faye site, George Ulrich reports that "Fox Video has finally restored In Old Chicago and it will be out on DVD August 9. Approximately 15 minutes of footage was cut when the film was re-released in the 1940s. Most of us have never seen the complete film. This is our first new footage of Alice since Hidden Hollywood."

(*Shirley Temple was the top female Fox attraction throughout the second half of the 1930s.)

Adapted to the screen by Sonya Levien and Lamar Trotti (from Niven Bush’s story "We the O’Learys"), and directed by Henry King, In Old Chicago (1937) stars Faye, Tyrone Power, Don Ameche, Best Supporting Actress Academy Award-winner Alice Brady, and a sweet cow who sets the whole corrupt city on fire.
