My father introduced me to Sci Fi films, and we'd watch it whenever it was on. I am not a happy camper that they are remaking it. It offends my sensibilities as much as if they were remaking "Ordet" or "The Seven Samurai" (wait, wait ... they remade that one umpteen times ...) This is a film I watched as a kid as well.
