Oscar 2009: John Singleton-Directed Trailer Premieres on Friday

Oscar statuetteJohn Singleton, who received a best director Oscar nomination for the 1991 drama Boyz n the Hood, has directed the trailer promoting the 2009 Academy Awards. Featuring Oscar telecast host Hugh Jackman, the trailer will be shown in more than 11,000 theaters around the United States beginning Friday, February 13.

I hope the Academy isn't superstitious.

Also, several Oscar trailers can be watched here. However, I didn't see any featuring Hugh Jackman.

The 2009 Academy Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2009, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. In the US, it will be televised live by ABC.
