DOWNFALL on DVD

The Region 2 DVD (Europe, Japan, South Africa, and the Middle East including Egypt) of the controversial Academy Award nominated film Der Untergang / Downfall (2004) has been released in Germany in two editions, one-disc and the two-disc special edition.
Der Untergang tells the story of Adolf Hitler’s last days in his underground bunker in Berlin. The generally well-made — but quite overlong — drama was directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, and stars Bruno Ganz as Hitler; Juliane Köhler as Eva Braun; and Alexandra Maria Lara as Hitler’s secretary, Traudl Junge.
