The Aviator, Martin Scorsese’s bloated, superficial biopic of loony billionaire Howard Hughes, will find its way to (Region 1) DVD shelves in May.

The Aviator stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a much too boyish Hughes, and Cate Blanchett doing a caricature of Katharine Hepburn in some of her worst 1930s films. Hughes and Hepburn were lovers of sorts in real life; in the film, Blanchett looks like she’s ready to adopt DiCaprio.

Scheduled release date for the Region 1 DVD (U.S. / Canada) of The Aviator: May 24, 2005

The Warner Home Video 2-disc set will include:
