Written and directed by Mark Herman, probably best known for the 1998 drama Little Voice, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is based on John Boyne’s World War II-set novel about a boy, Bruno (Asa Butterfield), whose father (David Thewlis) is the top dog at a Nazi concentration camp. One day, Bruno befriends a Jewish boy (Jack Scanlon) on the wrong side of the fence. Life will never be the same…

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas opens in the US on November 14.
