2005 Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival Winners

I’ve finally added the list of winners at the 2005 Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival. Those include Best Picture and Best First Film winner Las Mantenidas sin sueños (Argentina), a story of mother-daughter love with a twist, directed by Vera Fogwill and Martín De Salvo; Best Director Miguel Littin (La Tierra prometida / The Promised Land, Actas de Marusia / Letters from Marusia) for La Última luna / The Last Moon (Chile); and Best Documentary Invierno en Bagdad / Winter in Baghdad (Spain), directed by Javier Corcuera. The Audience Award went to both Habana Blues (Spain / Cuba / France), directed by Benito Zambrano and O Casamento de Romeo e Julieta / The Marriage of Romeo and Julieta (Brazil), directed by Bruno Barreto.
