Running back and forth between the Westside and Hollywood has been tiring – but who’s complaining? I’m aiming for three films tomorrow at the AFI FEST 2005: Sara Johnsen’s psychological mystery Vinterkyss / Kissed by Winter Mrs. Henderson Presents (2005) directed by Stephen Frears, starring Judi Dench, Bob Hoskins(Norway, 83 min., 3:15pm) is Norway’s submission for the Best Foreign-Language Film Academy Award; Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins star in Stephen FrearsMrs. Henderson Presents (U.K., 103 min., 7:15pm), the story (screenplay by Martin Sherman) of the founder of the British Windmill Theatre; and Caché / Hidden (Austria / Italy / Germany / France, 117 min., 10:00pm) stars Juliette Binoche and Cache aka Hidden by Michael Haneke, starring Daniel Auteuil, Juliette BinocheDaniel Auteuil as a bourgeois French couple whose complacent lives are turned upside down when they start receiving by mail strange, violent drawings accompanied by videotapes depicting their family life. Michael Haneke directs from his own screenplay.
