9 amAmerican East (US) – Dramatic comedy about Arab-Americans living in Los Angeles. Directed by Hesham Issawi. Starring Sarah Shahi, Sayed Badreya, Rais Nashif, Tony Shalhoub.

11 amChrysalis (top photo, France) – Paris, 2020. A dangerous smuggler is suspected of a vile murder. A detective’s investigation leads him to a state-of-the-art clinic. The brain stores some memories that will never fade away, but that can be manipulated. Sci-fi actioner directed by Julien Leclercq. Starring Albert Dupontel, Marie Guillard, and veteran Marthe Keller.

1 pmFrontier(s) (France / Germany) – The far-right is on the rise while a group of young men arrive at a hostel deep in the woods. The guests at the hostel look kinda creepy. Are they all rabid right-wingers? I don’t know. I haven’t seen the movie, yet. Directed by Xavier Gens. Starring Karina Testa, Samuel Le Bihan.

3 pm - That Day (France) – A man may or may not have run over a person. Compounding matters, he’s having some serious problems with his lover. Directed by Jacob Berger, who won best director honors at this year’s Montreal World Film Festival. Starring Bruno Todeschini, Noémie Kocher, Natacha Régnier, Louis Dussol.
