Animacor 2009

PRESS RELEASE

Prize-winnings totaling 39,000 € will be awarded. The winners will also receive the "Carrasquito" statue, which is in the shape of the festival logo.

The Association for the Development of the Animation Industry of Córdoba is announcing the call for entries with the publication of the rules and regulations of the 5th International Animation Film Festival of Córdoba, Animacor’09, which will be held from November 2nd to 7th of this year.

The internationally prestigious Animacor’09 Festival has gained in scope over the course of its lifetime, putting Córdoba on the international circuit of animation festivals. Each year the number of films has increased, not only from European and Latin American countries, but also from South Korea, Iran, Canada, Russia and Japan.

In addition to the "Competitive Section", Animacor’09 will also feature matinee screenings for schools in Córdoba and its surroundings. Evening screenings will also be scheduled for all audiences. These activities will be held in the Filmoteca (Film Archives) of Andalusia. As has been done at past festivals in the Palacio de la Merced (venue of the Córdoba County Offices), exhibitions and workshops devoted to the application of new technologies in animation will be held.

The festival rules and regulations are available on the website www.animacor.com.
