BURNING MAN Encore at the AFI FEST 2005

Burning Man: Beyond Black Rock (2005) directed by Damon Brown

Following two sold-out shows, AFI FEST 2005, currently being held at the Arclight Theatre complex in Hollywood, has added another screening of Damon Brown’s documentary Burning Man: Beyond Black Rock, on Saturday, November 12, at 10:30pm. "The response to this film has been amazing and it’s rather unprecedented for AFI Fest that a documentary sells out to festival screenings and audiences demand a third," says Natalie McMenemy, Director of Documentary Programming at AFI. "It’s a testament to the beauty of the film and its artists and the general curiosity of the public as to what Burning Man is and what they do." As per the AFI FEST booklet, Burning Man "began as a small music and art festival and is now the largest single funder of visual art in the US."
