San Diego Jewish Film Festival 2006

"We’re emphasizing diversity and freedom of expression," says San Diego Jewish Film Festival organizer Jacqueline Anne Siegel in David Elliott’s article for the San Diego Union-Tribune. Among the films to be screened at the Jewish festival are Anat Zuria’s Mekudeshet/ Sentenced to Marriage, Lajos Koltai’s Sorstalanság / Fateless, and Radu Mihaileanu’s Va, vis et deviens / Live and Become, the story of a Christian Ethiopian child who pretends to be Jewish in order to emigrate to Israel.
