THE LOST WORLD at the Paramount Ranch

The Lost World (1925) directed by Harry O. Hoyt, starring Wallace Beery, Lewis Stone, Bessie Love, and Lloyd HughesAs part of the Silents Under the Stars film series, on Sunday, July 20, the 1925 version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World will be screened at the Paramount Ranch National Park, located near Agoura Hills, north of Los Angeles.

The Lost World – quaint but perfectly watchable – stars Wallace Beery, Lewis Stone, Bessie Love, and Lloyd Hughes. Clad in a gorillaesque costume, Bull Montana plays a furrier version of his own apeman self.

Willis O'Brien - of King Kong fame – provided the special effects. Harry O. Hoyt directed.

With live accompaniment by the always reliable Michael Mortilla.
