Tuesday Highlights at the Los Angeles International Latino Film Festival

 

Tuesday, October 25, highlights at the Los Angeles International Latino Film Festival, currently being held at the Egyptian Theater complex on Hollywood Boulevard, include Walter Carvalho and Sandra Werneck’s Cazuza - O Tempo Não Pára / Cazuza - Time Doesn’t Stop, which offers Daniel de Oliveira’s criticallyLos Angeles Internatonal Latino Film Festival acclaimed performance as the iconic Brazilian singer Cazuza, who died of AIDS in 1990 (9:30p.m., at the Lloyd E. Rigler Theatre); the Portuguese-Brazilian crime thriller Um Tiro no Escuro / A Shot in the Dark, directed by Leonel Vieira and starring Joaquim de Almeida (7:30p.m., at the Spielberg Theatre); and the Spanish production El Cielo gira / The Sky Turns, Mercedes Álvarez’s documentary about changing times in a small village in northern Spain (9:45p.m., at the Spielberg Theatre).
