Directed by David Wain from a screenplay by Wain, Paul Rudd, Ken Marino, and Timothy Dowling (story by Dowling and William Blake Herron), Role Models stars Rudd and Seann William Scott as two energy drink spokesmen sentenced to community service, which consists of mentoring a couple of brats.

Sure, bills have to paid, babies have to be fed, and the money must be good for Paul Rudd — one of the most talented and most likable performers around — to keep showing up in those dreadful (and highly popular) comedies. That said, I can’t help but cringe every time I see his name attached to one such project.

What’s more frightening, Role Models has a Family Friendly Message: "It’ll take a couple of boys to make [the two losers] men," announces the trailer. Someone please call the National Guard.

Also in the Role Models cast: Elizabeth Banks, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino.

Role Models opens in the US on November 7.

Yep, it’s a pity mr. Paul Rudd isn’t doing other type of films. I still look for his films, but at this pace I’m bound to stop…
