Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may — in italics — take part in the George Clooney/MTV Networks telethon for Haiti earthquake relief. "Hope for Haiti" is scheduled to take place on Jan. 22. It'll be broadcast on several US networks, including CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and on MTV stations worldwide.
Pattinson and Stewart have been rumored as participants, though no names have been confirmed thus far. Numerous Hollywood celebrities, including Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, and Madonna have donated large sums to the Haitian relief effort. Approximately 50,000 people are feared dead following a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that destroyed much of Port-Au-Prince. Haiti is the poorest nation on the Western Hemisphere.
In France, veteran singer and actor Charles Aznavour has stated he and several other artists will record a special music video, "A Gesture for Dear Haiti," to raise funds to help quake victims.
Good to see celebrities help out when the going gets tough!
Hope for RobertPattinson.
