Robert Pattinson in REMEMBER ME

OMFG!! It's been reported that Robert Pattinson has chipped a fang while flossing — perhaps while angrily denying that he's dating either Kristen Stewart or Taylor Lautner or any other The Twilight Saga: New Moon cast or crew member. It's unclear if said fang will have to be amputated. No one knows for sure if he'll survive. In case he does, he may never be able to play a vampire again. But not to worry.

On March 12, Allen Coulter's romantic drama Remember Me, in which Pattinson plays an actual human being, will open in the United States. At about that time, the film will also hit screens in Russia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, and Australia. Thanks to Pattinson's presence, Remember Me is one of the most eagerly awaited movies of 2010.

Written by Will Fetters and Jenny Lumet (that's veteran filmmaker Sidney Lumet's daughter), Remember Me is set in New York City, where Tyler (Pattinson), a rebellious but introverted young man who has a difficult relationship with his rich father (Pierce Brosnan), develops a bond with a free-spirited classmate (Emilie de Ravin of Lost). Death is at the root of it all: Tyler's brother killed himself, while Ally watched her mother get killed. Tyler and Ally seem ready to settle down, but unexpected obstacles get in the way.

Remember Me has some good credentials: In addition to Brosnan, the cast includes Chris Cooper, Martha Plimpton, and Lena Olin. Jenny Lumet won numerous critics awards last year for her Rachel Getting Married screenplay, while Allan Coulter's Hollywoodland proved that Ben Affleck could act.

Will Remember Me prove that Robert Pattinson can be a real actor as well? Will Pattinson as a human being manage to attract his vampire fanbase to movie theaters the world over? We'll find out soon enough — and in the meantime, you can check out the preview below.

Nicely put Eileen!!! And as much as I go all pathetically gooey when spotting a pic of him in a magazine or on tele I think these guys (the ones who want to be left alone) should be!!! Really, what has it got to do with us who he's with, whether he's gay (although seriously hopefully not) etc, etc? Don't you think it's sad though, that someone like me (older, much older, and a mother of three) could be so infatuated with this guy!!! Haven't felt like this before – maybe it's menopause :/!!! :)

I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie. The Remember Me trailer looks awesome. I know that Robert Pattinson is going to be excellent as Tyler, just as he is excellent as Edward in the Twilight saga. All this crap about whether he can "act" is such a bore. He's a an actor and is going to want to challenge himself as well as his audience which I appreciate. Its probably harder to portray a brooding beautiful vampire that the majority could love than to play a "human" person. Robert Pattinson is here to stay and whether a crowd of screaming girls continue to follow his every move is irrelevant, he's going to make movies and make music and I think he's already successful in being true to himself and his choices.
