Andrew Garfield arrives at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Garfield was touted as a potential Best Supporting Actor Oscar contender for his performance in David Fincher’s drama The Social Network, but he wasn’t shortlisted in that category. The year’s Best Supporting Actor winner was Christian Bale for The Fighter.
Garfield is now well-known as Tobey Maguire’s replacement in the Spider-Man film franchise. Garfield’s Spider-Man reboot opens in 2012.
