Cate Blanchett arrives at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Cate Blanchett presented the Academy Award in the Best Make-Up and Best Costume Design categories. Her remark, "gross," about some of this year's make-up jobs was greeted with laughter.

The winners were The Wolfman for Best Make-Up and Alice in Wonderland for Best Costume Design. Blanchett won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar of 2004 for her portrayal of Katharine Hepburn in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator.

    That "Gross" comment was actually quite rude. Those effects guys worked very hard to deserve their oscar and a lot of people enjoy their work. Not funny...
