Céline Dion arrives at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Dion has one previous major connection to the movies, the Titanic ballad. This year, she sang "Smile" during the Oscarcast’s "In Memoriam" segment.
Among those featured were Patricia Neal, Jill Clayburgh, Mario Monicelli, Leslie Nielsen, Robert Culp, Blake Edwards, Claude Chabrol, and Lena Horne, who also earned a special tribute from Halle Berry. Corey Haim was ignored in the segment, an omission that caused a furor online.
