Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart-Taylor Lautner’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse waned some more on Monday, losing steam for the third straight day according to studio estimates found at Box Office Mojo.
Though still no. 1 at the North American box office, Eclipse fell below the $15m-per-day mark on Monday, taking in $13.545m, or 52.5% of what it grossed on Friday. Total after six days: $175.29, about $5-$25m less than some had predicted. Eclipse was the only movie among the top ten to post a decrease (-18.4%) relative to Sunday.
Eclipse should cross the $200m mark sometime this week. Depending on how steep its drop-off rate tomorrow, that could take place on Thursday or Friday.
Eclipse’s per-theater average on Monday was an estimated $3,032.
Overseas, Eclipse reaped $104.6 million over five days from 6,951 screens in 42 territories. Needless to say, it was the no. 1 movie of the weekend.
Directed by David Slade, Eclipse also features Bryce Dallas Howard, Peter Facinelli, Xavier Samuel, Elizabeth Reaser, Anna Kendrick, Dakota Fanning, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Billy Burke, Jackson Rathbone, Julia Jones, Tyson Houseman, Bronson Pelletier, and Booboo Stewart.

does anybody have an idea why in the world eclipse comes out in major territories like england and germany weeks later??? i really can’t make sense of that, since i found out that a lot of the people already have seen the movie online through leaked copies. they are all over the internet. why doesn’t anybody do somthing against that?? i’ve never seen a movie been hurt that bad through piracy like eclipse. on one site it had 490 000 illegal downloads on it. on just ONE site, from like a dozen or more. imagine all this people would have gone to the movies, eclipse would have made millions more. i don’t get it, they really should have premiered at the same time here in germany, they lost sooo much money already.
