Elizabeth Reaser Twilight movies

In recent years, Elizabeth Reaser (born on June 15, 1975, in Bloomfield, Michigan) has supported Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner in Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight (2008), Chris Weitz's The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), David Slade's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), and Bill Condon's aforementioned Breaking Dawn Part 1 (2011) and Breaking Dawn Part 2 (to be released in November 2012).

In the Twilight movies, Reaser plays Esme Cullen, the vampire matriarch "married" to Peter Facinelli's Dr. Carlisle Cullen. Their "children" are Robert Pattinson's Edward, Kellan Lutz's Emmett, Ashley Greene's Alice, Nikki Reed's Rosalie Hale, and (relatively) recent addition Jasper Hale, played by Jackson Rathbone. In case you're wondering, Rosalie and Jasper must have different surnames so they can shack up with their adoptive siblings without being accused of involvement in incestuous relationships. Not that that has stopped Anna Kendrick's high-schooler Jessica from gossiping about them: "But they live together! It's weird!"

Also in the Breaking Dawn Part 1 cast are the aforementioned Anna Kendrick, Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning, Booboo Stewart, Michael Welch, Christian Serratos, Julia Jones, Christopher Heyerdahl, Gil Birmingham, and MyAnna Buring.

In addition to Maggie Grace, Lee Pace, Sarah Clarke, Christian Camargo, Kiowa Gordon, Billy Burke, Bronson Pelletier, Charlie Bewley, Tinsel Korey, Tyson Houseman, Daniel Cudmore, Jamie Campbell Bower, Casey LaBow, Mia Maestro, and Alex Meraz.

Elizabeth Reaser non-Twilight movies

Besides her Twilight work, Elizabeth Reaser has had roles in Shut Up and Sing, The Family Stone, Puccini for Beginners, Purple Violets, Against the Current, and Jason Reitman's upcoming Young Adult, starring Charlize Theron and Patrick Wilson.

Another upcoming non-Twilight Elizabeth Reaser movie is Josh Radnor's Liberal Arts, a dramatic comedy featuring Radnor, Zac Efron, Elizabeth Olsen, Allison Janney, Richard Jenkins, Michael Weston, and Kate Burton.

TV talk show celebrity Oprah Winfrey, a 1985 Best Supporting Actress nominee for Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple, was the recipient of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

Elizabeth Reaser has become popular as a result of the Twilight Saga movies, playing the "mother" of vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) in Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight, Chris Weitz's The Twilight Saga: New Moon, David Slade's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and Bill Condon's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Part 2. The first Breaking Dawn movie opens on Friday in the United States and Canada. Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner co-star alongside Robert Pattinson.
