It's inevitable that someone as hot as Kristen Stewart should be linked to all sorts of film projects. Last year, Stewart was rumored as a possible Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's American remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (The Social Network's Rooney Mara landed the role) and as a replacement for Angelina Jolie in Wanted 2. Now it's Lois Lane and Snow White (more on the apple eater in a later post).
According to rumors, Stewart rejected the role of Lois Lane in the Superman reboot to be directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel. Perhaps not coincidentally, Cavill was author Stephenie Meyer's first choice for the role of Edward Cullen in Twilight. Someone apparently had to come up with a story about Bella Swan playing opposite the Edward that never was.
However, Stewart's rep has denied the actress was ever invited to play Lois Lane, telling People.com, "The fact is that she has not met [the producers of] this film nor has she been approached for this film."
Margot Kidder is probably the most celebrated Lois Lane, having starred opposite Christopher Reeve in four Superman from 1978 to 1987. TRON: Legacy's Olivia Wilde and Sherlock Holmes' Rachel McAdams have also been rumored as potential Lois Lanes.
