The Twilight Saga: Eclipse grossed $8.78m on Day 8, once again topping the North American box-office chart, according to Box Office Mojo.

Directed by David Slade, and starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner Eclipse fell below the $10m-per-day mark for the first time since opening day. Attendance on Wednesday was down a relatively small 16.9% from the day before. (Nearly every movie on the top twelve chart had double-digit drops.)

To date, Eclipse has collected $195.73m domestically, which means it’ll be crossing the $200m mark some time today — a day earlier than I expected.

Also in the Eclipse cast: Bryce Dallas Howard, Kellan Lutz, Xavier Samuel, Dakota Fanning, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Julia Jones, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Michael Welch, Anna Kendrick, and Billy Burke.
