Robert Pattinson, Xavier Samuel, Bryce Dallas Howard in David Slade’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) caught by Riley (Xavier Samuel) and Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) in Eclipse. Just a publicity shot or an actual scene from the film? Will Riley and Victoria try to break Edward’s arm or his neck? Both?
Either way, Robert Pattinson is wearing way too much white powder on his face. Perhaps that’s why his Edward looks so unhappy in this shot; after all, the handsome vampire is fully aware that those of his kind aren’t easily "breakable."
I hope that on screen Pattinson’s/Edward’s face will look more naturalistic than in some of the photos that have been released online. Come to think of it, Pattinson looks just fine in the trailers — both the romantic one and the action-packed one. That’s a good sign, I’d say.
Now, back to Edward being nabbed by Riley and Victoria: Some Twilight Saga fans have complained that this isn’t exactly the way things happen in Eclipse. Part of the reason is that Edward can read minds — well, except for Bella’s — and as result he can tell when and where his enemies will strike.
In addition to Kristen Stewart (as Bella) and Taylor Lautner (as Jacob), the Eclipse cast consists of Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Anna Kendrick, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser, Gil Birmingham, Kirsten Prout, Michael Welch, Cameron Bright, and Catalina Sandino Moreno.
Melissa Rosenberg once again wrote the screenplay from Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling book series. Directed by David Slade, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens in the United States on June 30.
