Wow! Ramon Novarro mentioned in a comment on a post about the Teen Choice Awards 2011! Novarro would have been happy to be remembered 51 years after his last film appearance.
Merrilyn, thanks for writing. To the best of my knowledge, there have been only a couple of Novarro recordings. One that I recall offhand is “Pagan Love Song,” from THE PAGAN (29). Else, the only way to get a hold of his songs is by recording his musicals on Turner Classic Movies or getting the DVDs from the Warner Archives.
There’s also a song, “Long Ago in Alcala,” he was to have sung in the aborted THE MARCH OF TIME (1930). His number surfaced in a German movie, WIR SCHALTEN UM AUF HOLLYWOOD (1931). If I remember it correctly (it’s mentioned in BEYOND PARADISE), the Munich Film Archives have a print of the film.
Hope this helps a bit.

Dear Mr. Soares:
I am reading your book about my newly discovered favorite Hollywood star, Ramon Novarro. I cannot get enough! Do you know if there are any recordings of his movie musical presentations, besides the three recordings you can find on YouTube? I would love to have a complete compilation of all his recorded music! Any thoughts?
