Lee Unkrich's Toy Story 3 topped the North American box office once again on Tuesday, according to Box Office Mojo.

Featuring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Ned Beatty, Michael Keaton, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Laurie Metcalf, and others, Toy Story 3 took in another $15.12m following a small Avatar-like 3.1% drop from the day before.

That would be a great sign for Toy Story 3, except that Tuesday was an overall solid moviegoing day, with ten of the top twelve movies posting gains when compared to their Monday business. The only other movie to attract fewer patrons on Tuesday was Jonah Hex (-0.5%).

Starring Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith, and Taraji P. Henson, Harald Zwart's The Karate Kid was no. 2 with $3.53m.

At no. 3, Joe Carnahan's The A-Team, with Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Sharlto Copley, and Jessica Biel, grossed $1.85m, followed by Jonah Hill and Russell Brand's comedy Get Him to the Greek with $1.04m.

Next in line was Eddie Murphy' Shrek Forever After with $892k.

At no. 6, the Ashton Kutcher-Katherine Heigl comedy-actioner Killers collected $801k, and at no. 7 Jake Gyllenhaal's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time earned $697k.

At no. 8, Jonah Hex scored $645k on its fifth day out. Josh Brolin, Megan Fox and John Malkovich star.

Rounding out the top twelve were Cynthia Nixon' Sex and the City 2 with $478k, Owen Wilson's Marmaduke with $392k, Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man 2 with $331k, Cate Blanchett's Robin Hood with $172k.

Among the top twelve movies, Toy Story 3 had the highest per-theater average, $3,755. Marmaduke had the lowest, $157.

Also among the top twelve, Toy Story 3 had the steepest drop-off rate, -3.1%. Marmaduke posted the biggest gains, +25.3%.
