Addendum: You can watch the SAG Awards’ Red Carpet online here. That will be followed at 5:15 PT/8:15 ET by backstage interviews with SAG Award winners.
Another Addendum: Watch SAG Awards ceremony here.
SAG Awards 2011 nominees include everyone from Susan Sarandon to Natalie Portman, from Colin Firth to Edgar Ramirez, from Claire Danes to Winona Ryder, from Jesse Eisenberg to Robert Duvall. In addition to Al Pacino, Jennifer Lawrence, Annette Bening, Hilary Swank, Nicole Kidman, Jeff Bridges, James Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Glenn Close, Geoffrey Rush, Helena Bonham Carter, Amy Adams, Melissa Leo, Dennis Quaid, Patrick Stewart, Catherine O’Hara, Christian Bale, and dozens more. All that and Life Achievement honoree Ernest Borgnine, too!
Our previous two attempts to embed live-streaming codes so visitors could watch the Golden Globes ceremony and the Oscar nominations announcement were a mixed bag. The Golden Globes were a total bust as our site not only crashed, but the original live-streaming site failed to show any signs of either life or stream. The Oscar nominations, however, seem to have come and gone without a glitch.
Here’s hoping that the SAG Awards — which should begin at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET — will be played out above unimpeded by server crashes, dry streams, riots, floods, earthquakes, or blizzards.
If things don’t work out at Alt Film Guide [Update: They don’t seem to be working] you can watch the SAG Awards backstage interviews online here.
