Alice in Wonderland grossed $6.010 million at the North American box office on Tuesday, a minuscule 0.7 percent drop from Monday, according to Box Office Mojo. Tim Burton’s fantasy adventure stars Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway.
With the exception of Alice in Wonderland, every movie among Tuesday’s top twelve posted box office gains. Among those that earned more than $500K, Pattinson’s Remember Me had the highest increase, 10.7 percent. Despite the significant increase, the film’s per-screen average ($333) still trails those of six other top-twelve movies, including Green Zone and She’s Out of My League.
The highest per-screen average among the top twelve belonged to Alice in Wonderland ($1,612); the lowest to Cop Out ($163).
Rounding out the top twelve were Kevin Smith’s Cop Out ($469K), Antoine Fuqua’s Brooklyn’s Finest ($458K), Breck Eisner’s The Crazies ($414K), Chris Columbus‘ Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief ($391K), and Jeff Bridges‘ Crazy Heart ($264K).
